• Supabase (authentication and database hosting): your account credentials and usage data are stored on Supabase-managed infrastructure.
• Google LLC: Google Analytics (usage analytics) and Google AdSense (advertising). Google may process data in the United States. See Google's Privacy Policy.
• Cloudinary: image hosting and optimisation.
• Vercel: web hosting and performance infrastructure.
• Email service providers: for transactional and newsletter emails, subject to their own privacy policies.

All third-party processors are required to handle your data in compliance with applicable data protection law and are contractually prohibited from using it for their own purposes.

We may disclose personal data if required by law, court order, or regulatory authority.

• Account data is retained for as long as your account is active, plus up to 24 months after deletion to comply with legal obligations.
• Newsletter consent records are kept for 5 years after your last interaction or until you unsubscribe.
• Server logs and analytics data are aggregated and anonymised within 14 months.
• Advertising cookie data is governed by the respective third-party provider's retention policy. Google's DoubleClick cookie has a default retention period of up to 13 months.

This website is not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Some of our service providers, including Google and Supabase, process data in the United States or other countries outside the European Economic Area. Where data is transferred outside the EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, or adequacy decisions where applicable.

The Life Science Feed uses generative AI tools to assist in the research and drafting of articles. All AI-assisted content is reviewed and approved by named editorial team members before publication. We do not make significant automated decisions about individuals using AI.

Where personal data interacts with any AI system, we ensure compliance with data protection requirements. We do not use personal reader data to train AI models.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated by posting a notice on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
