uveitis

Uveitis is a heterogeneous group of intraocular inflammatory conditions that collectively represent a leading cause of preventable blindness in working-age adults. Corticosteroids are the immediate management option; immunosuppressive therapies and biologics including adalimumab are indicated for chronic non-infectious uveitis. Underlying systemic inflammatory diseases are identified in a significant proportion of cases, requiring multidisciplinary management.
