Cancer pain affects up to 70% of patients across all cancer stages and remains undertreated globally. Opioid analgesics remain central to management, guided by the WHO analgesic ladder, while adjuvant therapies, interventional techniques, and newer targeted agents address specific pain mechanisms. Research is ongoing into opioid-sparing strategies and predictors of individual pain responses.
